Description

Sulcorebutia arenacea
Sulcorebutia arenacea is a small, clumping cactus species native to the high-altitude regions of Bolivia. It features squat, globular stems covered in tight spirals of small tubercles and fine, golden to brown spines that hug the body closely. In spring, it puts on a brilliant floral show with large, bright yellow to orange blooms that can nearly cover the plant. Its compact size, vibrant flowers, and clumping habit make it a favourite among miniature cactus collectors.
